This article is a stub. You can help WikiRLA by suggesting edits.
The Di Buca crime family (pronounced /dɪˈbjuːkə/ di-BYOO-kə) is an alleged Italian American Mafia crime family with known ties to organized crime activities in New York City. The group has operated numerous legitimate import-export concerns since the 1970s, with influence extending from New York to multiple overseas ports. Its alleged illicit activities include racketeering, extortion, money laundering, hijacking, smuggling, and drug trafficking. They are rumored to be responsible for the 2014 armored car heist that left two guards dead and over $3 million USD in twenty-dollar bills missing.
The current head of the family is Rocco Di Buca, about whom little is publicly known. Rocco's son Matteo Di Buca has suffered much greater notoriety in the press, particularly in connection with the Mad Batter serial killer investigation.
