Gray in the City is an anthology of murder mystery novellas by R.L. Akers, encompassing the entirety of eponymous protagonist Gray Gaynes' story arc as an NYPD detective. The anthology contains the first six novellas (#1-6) from the Files of Gray Gaynes series as well as two exclusive short stories, available only in this edition. Gray in the City was published on October 15, 2025.
An audiobook production of the first half of Gray in the City is currently in production, to be performed by narrator Marcus Freeman.
